1907 - Jane Froman, St Louis Mo. (November 10, 1907 – April 22, 1980) was an American singer and actress. During her thirty-year career, Froman performed on stage, radio and television despite chronic injuries that she sustained from a 1943 plane crash. The 1952 film, With a Song in My Heart, is based on her life.

He composed film and television music, for The Green Hornet and Batman (with Batgirl theme, 1966), Naked City and collaborated on films, such as Pennies from Heaven (1981), and orchestrated Cocoon, and Cocoon: The Return among others. May also wrote arrangements for many top singers, including Frank Sinatra, Nat "King" Cole, Peggy Lee, Vic Damone, Bobby Darin, Johnny Mercer, Ella Fitzgerald, Jack Jones, Bing Crosby, Sandler and Young, Nancy Wilson, Stan Freberg and Rosemary Clooney.
