In 1938 David Rose was hired by the Mutual Broadcasting System, in Hollywood, where he set up an orchestra for that network. The orginal series California Melodies featured his music as well as standards and music of the era...“From out of the west to you,” California Melodies featured Rose's Orchestra and singer Maxine Gray.
